Peters Warns of Catastrophic Consequences if Wrong Choice Made at 2026 Election

New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters has warned that the upcoming 2026 election will be decisive for the country's future. He stated that a wrong choice on November 2, 2026 could place New Zealand on a path from which it might never recover.

Peters criticized left-wing parties, including Labour, Greens, Māori Party, and Opportunity Party, for forming an unprecedented four-headed coalition. He described them as 'Communists, Separatists, and Globalists' who would undermine New Zealand's values, economy, and social cohesion.

New Zealand First has proposed a significant 'Use it or Lose it' Dairy Policy to reform the Dairy Industry Restructuring Act 2001. The policy aims to stimulate large-scale, value-added dairy manufacturing in New Zealand by increasing independent processors' access to Fonterra milk from 50 million litres to 500 million litres annually for a decade.

Peters emphasized that experience matters most when confronting entrenched elites who ignore ordinary hardworking New Zealanders every single day. He highlighted the importance of restoring the value of citizenship and viewing it as a privilege carrying unique rights and responsibilities.
