PKR Appreciates Marginally Against USD Amid Stable Market Activity
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its upward trend against the US dollar (USD), closing at PKR 277.75 per USD in the interbank market on Wednesday, August 5th.
This marginal appreciation was supported by stable market activity, with the local currency moving within a range of PKR 277.80 at its intraday high and PKR 277.75 at its intraday low.
In the open market, exchange companies quoted the US dollar at PKR 278.30 for buying and PKR 278.80 for selling.
The rupee delivered a mixed performance against other major currencies, weakening by 62.38 paisa (0.20%) against the euro to close at PKR 320.32, and losing 53.79 paisa (0.14%) versus the British pound to settle at PKR 373.73.
