PKR Extends Streak of Gains Against USD to 224 Days
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its remarkable streak of gains against the US Dollar (USD), closing in the green for the 224th consecutive day on Friday.
This milestone marks a significant improvement for the PKR, which has been reporting steady gains since December 25, 2025.
The rupee closed at 277.56 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today. It was stable against both the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR), but lost ground to other major currencies.
The PKR lost 16 paisas against the British Pound (GBP) and one paisa against the Euro (EUR). It also fell short against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and Canadian Dollar (CAD).
