PKR Extends Winning Streak Against Major Currencies
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its winning streak against major currencies, including the US Dollar (USD), British Pound (GBP), and Euro (EUR). On Tuesday, PKR closed in green for the 230th consecutive day.
The PKR gained one paisa against the USD, closing at 277.46. This marks a consistent trend of gains since December 25, 2025. The rupee also made notable gains against other currencies: it rose by 24 paisas against the GBP and AUD, and 34 paisas against the EUR.
However, PKR lost 29 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD). It remained stable against both the UAE Dirham (AED) and Saudi Riyal (SAR).
