PKR Extends Winning Streak to 218 Days Against US Dollar
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its winning streak against the US dollar (USD), closing in green for the 218th consecutive day on Wednesday.
This marks a remarkable run, with the PKR consistently reporting gains against the USD since December 25, 2025. On this particular day, the PKR closed at 277.66 after gaining just one paisa against the USD.
The rupee was stable against other currencies, including the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR). However, it did lose some value against other major currencies such as the British Pound (GBP), Euro (EUR), Australian Dollar (AUD), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), and Chinese Yuan (CNY).
