PKR Hits 239 Consecutive Days in Green Against USD
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) has shown remarkable resilience against the US Dollar (USD), closing in green for the 239th consecutive day on Monday. The PKR ended at 277.31, gaining a single paisa compared to its previous value.
This upward trend began on December 25, 2025, and has been consistent ever since. The rupee's appreciation against the dollar is largely due to external factors, with other currencies like the British Pound (GBP) also experiencing losses against the PKR.
On Monday, the PKR gained 77 paisas against the GBP, Rs. 1.08 against the Australian Dollar (AUD), and Rs. 1.77 against the Euro (EUR). It was stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) but gained two paisas against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
