PKR Wins Again: Record 215 Days of Consecutive Gains Against Top Currencies
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) has continued its winning streak against major currencies, closing in green for the 215th consecutive day. On Friday, it gained one paisa against the US Dollar (USD), reaching a value of 277.71 PKR per USD.
This is the longest consecutive gain for the rupee since December 25, 2025. The recovery is attributed to easing tensions in Azad Kashmir, which have positively impacted the money markets.
While the PKR remained stable against the UAE Dirham (AED), it lost one paisa against the Saudi Riyal (SAR). On the other hand, it gained significantly against the British Pound (GBP) and Euro (EUR), rising by 28 paisas and 51 paisas respectively.
