The Bank of England's Digital Pound Lab has welcomed Polygon Labs as a new partner in its Phase 2 testing phase, alongside NOBO Finance and Dun & Bradstreet. This collaboration aims to integrate stablecoins and digital pounds for modern finance.

Polygon Labs' entry into the lab will focus on integrating the company's technologies with those of the other partners to create a seamless experience for users. The Digital Pound Lab is exploring the use of central bank-issued digital currencies (CBDCs) and stablecoins in various applications, including cross-border payments.

Meanwhile, UK lawmakers have written to major banks, asking them to clarify their treatment of FCA-authorized crypto companies. This comes as Coinbase launches a new suite of derivatives for professional investors in the UK, with over 170 contracts spanning various assets.
