Pound Holds Steady Ahead of US Job Openings Data
The British Pound has maintained its stability near 1.3420 against the US Dollar on Tuesday, as investors await the release of the US Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) data.
Market analysts believe that a cooling labor market could influence the Federal Reserve's interest rate path, with consensus estimates suggesting job openings will decline to around 7.6 million in November, down from 7.7 million in October.
A lower-than-expected figure could reinforce expectations of a rate cut in early 2026, potentially weakening the Dollar and boosting the Pound.
