Pound to Euro Exchange Rate Muted Ahead of ECB Decision
The Pound to Euro exchange rate remained relatively stable on Tuesday, trading at €1.1646 and showing little change from the previous day.
This lack of movement was largely due to the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming European Central Bank (ECB) decision, with ECB President Christine Lagarde's speech on Wednesday evening expected to have a muted impact on the Euro.
The Pound itself faced limited movement due to the absence of any significant UK economic data releases this week.
However, some trade and foreign policy concerns did arise, including news that the UK government will ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements on the West Bank. While these concerns sparked anger among Israeli ministers and some US lawmakers, they seemed to have little impact on the Pound's value.
