Pound Treads Water Despite Stronger UK GDP
The pound struggled to gain momentum despite the UK economy's stronger-than-expected growth in July.
While the surprise expansion was welcomed by markets, it did not alter expectations for Bank of England policy and therefore failed to provide a significant boost for Sterling.
The pound may face a subdued start to the week as GBP markets look ahead to several high-impact UK economic releases, alongside the BoE's upcoming interest rate decision.
