Pound's Gains Hinge on Inflation Strength
The Pound-Euro exchange rate is set to build on its recent gains if UK inflation strengthens Bank of England (BoE) rate expectations.
However, softer jobs data may limit Sterling's upside.
At the time of writing, GBP/EUR was trading at €1.1659, up 0.2% on the week.
The Pound struggled to establish a clear trend last week due to a lack of major UK data, but a stronger-than-forecast UK GDP reading boosted GBP and helped it end the week on stronger footing.
