Prudential Declares Interim Dividend of 8.88 US Cents Per Share for 2026
Prudential plc has announced its first interim dividend for 2026. The company will pay an 8.88 US cents per ordinary share, with shareholders on the UK register receiving payments in pounds sterling and those on the Hong Kong register getting Hong Kong dollars unless they opt to receive US dollars by October 2nd.
The payment amounts for pound sterling and Hong Kong dollars will be determined based on actual currency conversion rates achieved by Prudential and announced around October 9th. Shareholders holding American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) will receive payments in US dollars through Citibank N.A., while those with interests through The Central Depository (Pte) Limited in Singapore will get payments in Singapore dollars at prevailing market exchange rates.
The company is also offering a scrip dividend alternative under its Evergreen Scrip Dividend Scheme, which involves the issuance of new ordinary shares on the Hong Kong line. Shareholders unable to hold shares on this line can use a share dealing facility provided by Prudential.
