Prudential Reimburses Millions After Japan Business Misconduct Probe
Prudential Financial Inc. has reimbursed individuals affected by employee misconduct at its Japan business, totaling $17.4 million.
The company's remediation efforts follow a regulatory probe into misconduct and have resulted in payouts to 437 people, bringing the total reimbursement to 2.85 billion yen.
An independent panel reviewed subsequent individual inquiries, finding that 125 claims worth 792 million yen were eligible for reimbursement.
