RBA Holds Rates Steady Amid Economic Slowdown

Australia's central bank, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), kept its cash rate steady at 4.35% on August 11, as expected.

The decision was made after considering the economy's slowdown due to tighter financial conditions and rising energy costs.

The RBA warned that it might need to hike rates again if upside risks materialize, with inflation still above its target band of 2% to 3%.
