The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is expected to hold interest rates steady at its upcoming meeting, despite ongoing concerns about inflation. According to economists and traders, the RBA will maintain the cash rate at 4.35% when it announces its decision on Tuesday.

RBA Governor Michele Bullock's press conference afterwards will also be closely watched for any indications of a potential shift in policy. Analysts expect the central bank to retain its hawkish tone until evidence emerges that the economy is slowing and inflation is decreasing.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia's Belinda Allen expects the RBA to bring forward its forecast for inflation to return below 3% and anticipates a revision higher in the jobless rate forecast. The central bank will continue to prioritize controlling inflation, which remains above target despite recent interest rate hikes.
