RBC Boosts Union Pacific Holdings Amid Strong Earnings and Positive Analyst Views

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has increased its holdings in Union Pacific Corporation (UNP) by 0.5% during the first quarter, according to the company's latest 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. RBC now owns approximately 4,617,313 shares of UNP worth $1,120,251,000 as of its most recent filing.

Other institutional investors have also recently added to their stakes in UNP. Capital World Investors raised its position by 92.1% in the fourth quarter, while Norges Bank acquired a new position worth about $1,779,907,000 during the same period. UBS AM A Distinct Business Unit of UBS Asset Management Americas LLC boosted its position by 72.7% in the third quarter, and Capital Research Global Investors grew its stake by 26.0% in the fourth quarter.

Wall Street analysts have issued positive reports on UNP, with TD Cowen reaffirming a 'buy' rating and increasing its price target to $325.00 from $282.00. Weiss Ratings also upgraded shares of UNP from a 'buy (b-)' rating to a 'buy (b)' rating.
