RBC Completes Fixed-Income Offerings, Wins AI Award Amid Credit Loss Concerns
Royal Bank of Canada (TSX:RY) has recently completed multiple fixed-income offerings, including new callable senior unsecured notes across 2029-2038 maturities and €850 million of floating rate eurodollar bonds under its global medium-term note programme.
At the same time, the bank's AI-assisted retail credit underwriting platform earned an IDC CIO Awards Canada 2026 win for its proprietary ATOM model, which supports operational improvements ahead of projected AI-driven enterprise value gains by 2027.
The award highlights RBC's push for digital efficiency and fee-based, data-driven growth through improved approval accuracy and decision speed. However, alongside these technology wins, investors should be aware of the risk that elevated provisions for credit losses could still pressure margins.
