RBC Invests Heavily in DCC Energy

Royal Bank of Canada has made a significant investment in DCC Energy plc, a leading energy company. According to a Form 8.3 disclosure filed with the Irish Takeover Panel on July 24, 2026, RBC Global Asset Management Inc., a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada, acquired 920,553 common shares of DCC Energy plc.

The purchase price for each share was €62.9478 and €63.0074 in separate transactions. This acquisition represents approximately 1.08% of the outstanding shares of DCC Energy plc.

As a result of this investment, Royal Bank of Canada has become a significant shareholder of DCC Energy plc. The bank's asset management arm will likely have a say in the company's future direction and strategy.
