Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has reduced its stake in Mondelez International by selling 545,825 shares in the first quarter. The bank now owns 3,897,403 shares, which represents a 12.3% decrease from the previous quarter.

The total value of RBC's holdings is approximately $224,645,000, accounting for about 0.30% of Mondelez International's outstanding stock. This move comes as several other institutional investors have increased their stakes in the company, including OLD Republic International Corp and BNP Paribas Financial Markets.

The sale by RBC is part of a broader trend where some investors are reducing their exposure to consumer staples companies like Mondelez International due to rising concerns about inflation and interest rates. However, other analysts have maintained positive views on the company's prospects, citing its strong brand portfolio and ability to navigate market fluctuations.
