RBC Stock Drops 2.22% Despite Record Profit Growth and Wrexham Partnership
Royal Bank of Canada's stock price dropped by more than 2% on Wednesday after the bank announced a new partnership with Wrexham AFC and reported record profit growth. Despite this short-term setback, the bank's medium- and long-term technical structure remains bullish.
The agreement with Wrexham AFC is aimed at increasing the bank's brand visibility in international sports and strengthening its presence in the UK. The deal makes Royal Bank of Canada the Official Bank Partner, Official Wealth Management Partner, and Back-of-Kit Sponsor for Wrexham AFC for the 2026/27 season.
In addition to this partnership, the bank reported a 25% increase in profit, supported by lower credit costs. The company also announced plans to increase its dividend and initiate a share buyback.
