Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has reported a significant surge in its third-quarter profit, reaching $6.02 billion.

This represents a substantial increase from the same period last year, where RBC recorded a profit of $5.41 billion.

The bank's earnings per diluted share also saw an upward trend, rising to $4.23 compared to $3.75 in the previous year's corresponding quarter.

RBC's total revenue climbed to $18.54 billion, surpassing the $16.99 billion recorded during the same period last year.

The bank's CEO, Dave McKay, attributed the strong earnings to RBC's diversified business model and solid balance sheet, which enables it to adapt to a rapidly changing economy.
