RBC Taps Insider Kamran Azim as Head of Asia Wealth Business
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has named Kamran Azim as the new Head of Wealth Management Asia and Chief Executive Officer of RBC Singapore Branch, effective November 1. He will succeed Rod Ireland, who is retiring after more than 25 years with the bank.
Azim joined RBC in Toronto in 2008 and has held various senior leadership positions across Wealth Management and Capital Markets. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer of Wealth Management Asia, where he oversaw strategic growth initiatives and operational transformation across the region.
RBC's Deputy Chair, Wayne Bossert, praised Azim's appointment, citing his commercial acumen, global connectivity, and ability to execute strategic initiatives. With Azim at the helm, RBC aims to advance its strategic priorities and deliver excellence for clients across Asia.
