RBC to Receive C$1B from Moneris Sale, Issues €850M Floating-Rate Notes
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is set to receive C$1 billion from the sale of Moneris to Francisco Partners.
The deal, which is expected to close by the end of RY's Q1 FY2027 pending regulatory approval, will result in a C$475 million after-tax gain for RBC.
In a separate move, RBC has issued €850M floating-rate senior notes due August 2028. The issuance consists of two tranches: €650M with a trade date of July 30, 2026, and €200M with a trade date of August 4, 2026.
