RBC Unifies Transaction Banking Services Under Global Business
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has reorganized its transaction banking services to create a unified global business. The new structure, called Global Transaction Banking (GTB), will be led by Sean Amato-Gauci and Derek Neldner, who are jointly accountable for establishing RBC as a global leader in transaction banking.
The combined business brings together RBC's transaction banking capabilities from across Commercial Banking and Capital Markets under shared leadership and a single strategy. This will enable the bank to provide clients with greater value through relationship coverage, product expertise, technology, and execution.
RBC President and CEO Dave McKay said that being more globally connected means bringing the full strength of RBC to clients. He emphasized the importance of understanding both local nuances and the global picture in helping businesses navigate a complex economy.
Kartik Kaushik has been appointed Head, Global Transaction Banking - Product, Platforms and Solutions, while Michael Klopchic will lead client coverage, sales execution, and go-to-market strategy. The bank's ambition is to build a leading global transaction banking franchise based on deep relationships, best-in-class capabilities, global scale, and a leading digital experience.
