RBI Expands FX Retail Platform with Five New Currency Pairs
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced plans to introduce five additional currency pairs on its retail foreign-exchange platform, FX Retail. This move aims to provide individuals with easier access to a wider range of currencies.
The new currency pairs will include the euro, British pound, Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, and Emirati dirham, in addition to existing options.
According to Reserve Bank of India Chief General Manager Dimple Bhandia, this expansion is intended to meet customers' needs for these currencies. The announcement was made at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai on Wednesday.
