RBI Governor Meets US Fed, IMF Leaders at G20 Gathering
Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra recently met with US Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh and First Deputy Managing Director of the IMF Dan Katz on the sidelines of a G20 gathering in Asheville, North Carolina.
The meetings took place during the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, which brought together senior economic policymakers from major economies to discuss global growth, financial stability, development financing, and other challenges requiring international coordination.
Malhotra's engagements with Warsh and Katz placed India's central bank leadership in direct contact with two major institutions influencing global monetary and financial policy. The Federal Reserve's decisions have consequences beyond the United States, while the IMF plays a central role in monitoring the international economy and supporting financial stability.
