RBI Governor Seeks Sustainable Growth at G20 FMCBG Meeting
RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra attended the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting in Asheville, North Carolina, to discuss key economic and financial priorities with global counterparts.
During the two-day meeting under US G20 presidency, India focused on promoting sustainable growth, trade, and investment. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman led India's delegation and held talks with UK Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey on trade and investment cooperation.
The RBI Governor also met Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh and IMF First Deputy Managing Director Dan Katz on the sidelines of the meeting. India emphasized the needs of emerging economies and highlighted its potential as a major hub for manufacturing, technology, and innovation.
