RBI Intervention Boosts Indian Rupee Against US Dollar
The Indian Rupee has made a modest gain against the US Dollar, thanks to what traders believe is intervention from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This move comes amid ongoing global economic uncertainties and fluctuating investor sentiment toward emerging markets.
The RBI's history of stepping in to curb excessive volatility suggests they may be selling dollars or tightening liquidity to influence the rupee's value. As a result, the rupee is trading around 83.50 per dollar, reflecting a slight recovery from recent lows.
Market participants remain cautious, however, as global factors such as US Federal Reserve policy expectations, crude oil prices, and geopolitical tensions continue to weigh on the currency.
