RedotPay Disables Multi-Currency Fiat Accounts for Pakistani Users
RedotPay, a Hong Kong-based crypto payment platform, has stopped offering multi-currency fiat accounts to users verified under Pakistani identity.
This feature allowed Pakistani users to access dedicated EUR and USD bank account numbers for direct international transfers without going through traditional Pakistani banks.
The move leaves a gap for freelancers and digital workers who relied on RedotPay as their primary receiving channel. Platforms like Payoneer, Wise, and Deel offer similar services in Pakistan but come with restrictions, fees, and compliance requirements that vary by use case.
RedotPay has not publicly explained the reasons behind this decision, citing compliance obligations, anti-money laundering regulations, and pressure from licensed banking partners over jurisdiction-specific risk profiles as possible reasons for restricting fiat account services.
