Regulators Meet on Central Counterparty Resolution Amid New Clearing Rule

The CFTC and other authorities met to discuss central counterparty resolution. This was part of a regular series of senior-level meetings since 2017.

CFTC Chairman Michael S. Selig announced an agenda for the AgCon conference on October 22-23 in Overland Park, Kansas. Topics will include market structure and emerging markets.

The CFTC issued a final rule to modify clearing requirements for interest rate swaps denominated in Canadian dollars or Mexican pesos.
