European Central Bank (ECB) official Olli Rehn emphasized the importance of keeping inflation expectations anchored during a recent speech. According to Rehn, it is essential to maintain price stability in the face of elevated energy prices and supply chain disruptions.

The Finnish Central Bank Governor cited the ongoing US-Iran standoff as a contributing factor to the de-anchoring of global inflation projections. However, he noted that there are currently no clear signs of second-round effects on wages or the overall economy.

Rehn's remarks did not appear to have a significant impact on the market, with the Euro (EUR) trading marginally higher against the US dollar at around 1.1600 as of writing.
