Revolut Enters Stablecoin Market with Euro-Pegged Token EURR

Revolut has launched its first stablecoin, EURR, which is pegged to the euro and designed to hold a fixed value of €1. The token will be available to eligible customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, with a wider rollout across the European Economic Area planned for later this year.

EURR is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a Luxembourg-based entity owned by Stripe, which acquired it for $1.1 billion in February 2025. Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd, the fintech's regulated crypto arm, distributes the token under its own MiCA licence from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.

Revolut said that EURR gives customers an on-chain option denominated in euros rather than dollars, as most stablecoins are pegged to the US currency. The token launches on Ethereum, with support for additional blockchain networks and external wallet transfers to follow.
