Revolut Enters Stablecoin Market with EURR Launch in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal
Revolut has launched its euro-denominated stablecoin, EURR, in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. The token maintains a stable €1 valuation and operates on various blockchain networks and external wallet systems.
The digital currency is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a subsidiary of Bridge, which was purchased by Stripe for $1.1 billion in February 2025. Bridge maintains reserve assets and oversees redemption requirements according to MiCA regulatory standards, while Revolut manages distribution through its CySEC-regulated infrastructure.
Revolut's user base of over 80 million users worldwide is expected to significantly impact the market, which currently has approximately €450 million in euro-pegged tokens. The company plans to expand EURR throughout the European Economic Area by year's end and introduce additional currency-backed stablecoins.
