Revolut Lands EU Banking Licence in France Amid European Expansion Plans
Revolut, the fintech company behind a popular digital banking app, has secured a European banking licence in France. This move is part of its expansion across Western Europe and will enable it to serve customers in the region with even more comprehensive services.
The licence was granted by Revolut Bank S.A. (RBSA) following a joint assessment by the ACPR, the French supervisory authority, and the European Central Bank. This marks a significant milestone for Revolut as it continues its growth across Europe.
Nik Storonsky, founder and CEO of Revolut, commented on the development: 'This licence enables us to lay the foundations for creating a new generation of banking services for our more than 30 million customers in Western Europe.'
