Revolut Lands French Banking License, Eyes Massive Expansion
Revolut, a leading fintech company, has made significant strides in France by securing a full banking license. This development comes after a thorough evaluation process involving the European Central Bank and France's local regulator, ACPR.
The company plans to expand its operations in the Paris region, hiring 400 workers across key areas such as compliance, risk management, cybersecurity, and financial crime prevention. Revolut has also signed a 10-year lease for over 2,400 square meters of office space in central Paris, which will serve as its Western Europe headquarters.
The new European headquarters is set to open in early 2027, marking a major milestone in the company's expansion across key European markets. This development underscores Revolut's commitment to establishing itself as a prominent player in the French financial landscape.
