Ringgit Climbs Ahead of FOMC Meeting Minutes

The Ringgit (MYR) traded higher against the US Dollar (USD) on Wednesday, ahead of the release of the US Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes later that evening. The local currency rose to 4.0565/0610 against the greenback from its previous close of 4.0575/0615.

According to Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid, chief economist at Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd, markets will be observing the FOMC minutes for clues on the US Federal Reserve's stance on monetary policy.
