Ringgit Weakens Against USD Amid Global Bond Yield Hike Concerns
The ringgit continued to trade lower against the US dollar on Wednesday but showed strength against the British pound and euro amid rising global bond yields and concerns over elevated government debt levels.
At 6 pm, the currency was quoted at 4.0435/0475 against the US dollar compared with Tuesday's close of 4.0370/0410.
The ringgit's performance against other major currencies was mixed, strengthening against the British pound and euro but weakening against the US dollar.
