Royal Bank of Canada Delivers Another Record Quarter Amid Valuation Concerns
Royal Bank of Canada (NYSE:RY) has reported another record quarter, but its valuation remains a concern for investors. The bank's earnings per share came in at $1.88, beating estimates and marking a 15% year-over-year increase.
In the third quarter, Royal Bank of Canada generated net income of CAD 4.7 billion (approximately USD 3.5 billion), a 17% rise from the same period last year. The bank's revenue grew by 8% to CAD 12.1 billion, driven by strong loan growth and improving credit quality.
However, despite these impressive results, analysts point out that Royal Bank of Canada is still trading at a premium valuation compared to its peers. The stock has a price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) of around 13.5, which is higher than the industry average.
