Ruble Hits New Low as Euro and Tenge Rise in Kyrgyzstan Currency Market
The Russian ruble has continued to depreciate against other currencies, reaching new lows and approaching annual minimum values. According to data from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange points in Bishkek, the official exchange rate for the ruble is 1.0382 soms, a decrease of 0.77 percent since yesterday. This marks an acceleration in decline, bringing it closer to historical lows.
The euro has seen a notable increase, with an official exchange rate of 101.4464 soms, up 0.39 percent from the previous day. The Kazakh tenge has also strengthened, reaching a new August maximum at 0.1895 soms, while the Chinese yuan has set another historical record against the som at 12.9776 soms.
The US dollar remains stable, with an official exchange rate of 87.45 soms and average rates at exchange points ranging from 87.36 to 87.8 soms.
