Rupee Appreciates 35 Paise Against Dollar Amid Lower Crude Prices
The Indian rupee continued its upward momentum on Tuesday, rising by 35 paise to 95.64 against the US dollar in early trade.
This gain was driven by lower crude oil prices amid easing geopolitical tensions.
Forex traders pointed out that a weak US dollar index and positive equity market sentiment also contributed to the rupee's appreciation.
The rupee had already appreciated sharply on Monday, rising 54 paise to close at 95.99 against the US dollar after gaining 20 paise in the preceding session on Friday.
