Rupee Climbs Against Dollar as Oil Prices Ease Amid US-Iran Tensions
The Indian rupee continued its upward momentum on Tuesday, July 28, rising 35 paise to 95.64 against the U.S. dollar in early trade.
This gain is attributed to lower crude oil prices due to easing geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
A weak U.S. dollar index and positive equity market sentiment also contributed to the rupee's appreciation, with the dollar index trading down 0.06% at 101.31.
The Brent crude price dropped by 1.43% to $87.10 per barrel in futures trade.
