Rupee Falls 7 Paise as Crude Oil Prices Surge
The Indian rupee fell by 7 paise to close at 94.50 against the US dollar on September 7, 2026.
The rupee's value had seen a modest gain in initial trading due to foreign inflows, but it was offset by a negative trend in domestic equities and rising crude oil prices.
Anuj Choudhary, Research Analyst at Mirae Asset ShareKhan, stated that the rupee is likely to trade with a positive bias on optimism over foreign inflows and a weak dollar.
