Rupee Falls Against Dollar as Oil Prices Rise
The Indian rupee opened lower against the US dollar on September 11, driven by rising oil prices and higher U.S. Treasury yields.
According to Finrex, the rupee started the day at 95.68 per dollar, down 24 paise from Thursday's close of 95.44.
The increase in oil prices pushed Brent up to $107.53, while U.S. Treasury yields also moved higher.
Asian currencies traded mixed against the US dollar, with the South Korean won leading gains, followed by the Singapore dollar and Japanese yen.
