Rupee Gains 35 Paise Against Dollar Amid Easing Geopolitical Tensions
The Indian rupee continued its upward trend on Tuesday, rising 35 paise to 95.64 against the US dollar in early trade.
This gain was driven by lower crude oil prices amid easing geopolitical tensions, according to forex traders.
A weak US dollar index and positive equity market sentiment also contributed to the rupee's appreciation.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading down 0.06% at 101.31.
