Rupee Gains Amid Crude Price Drop and Easing Tensions
The Indian rupee has strengthened against the US dollar in early trade on Monday, rising by 28 paise to 96.25.
This gain comes as a result of a sharp decline in crude oil prices, which have fallen 4.17% to $92.74 per barrel. The Brent crude benchmark is also trading lower due to the easing of tensions in West Asia between the US and Iran.
US President Donald Trump has given talks some space, according to Mike Waltz, the US ambassador to the United Nations, allowing for a pause in strikes against each other.
