Rupee Gains Strength Against Dollar Amid Equity Market Boost
The Indian rupee gained strength against the US dollar in early trade on July 30, rising by 13 paise to 95.63.
This gain was supported by positive momentum in domestic equity markets and inflows of foreign capital, according to forex traders.
However, the rupee's gain was capped by a strong dollar index after the US Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged.
The dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading up 0.06% at 101.79.
