Rupee Reaches New High Against Dollar Amid Oil Price Drop
The Indian rupee continued its upward trend on Tuesday, rising by 35 paise to 95.64 against the US dollar in early trade.
This gain was driven by lower crude oil prices and easing geopolitical tensions between the US and Iran.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, was down 0.06% at 101.31.
Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, fell by 1.43% to $87.10 per barrel in futures trade.
