Rupee Recovers, Closes at 96.55 as RBI Steps In
The Indian rupee made a notable recovery on Friday, closing at 96.55 against the US dollar after initially facing losses.
The currency had opened weakly at 96.81 per dollar and traded within a range of 96.30-96.81 before eventually settling higher.
Market participants attributed the rupee's improvement to intervention by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), which helped mitigate further losses.
