Rupee Rises to Strongest Level Against USD Since August
The Indian rupee has gained strength against the U.S. dollar in early trade on Tuesday, rising by 26 paise to 94.96 per USD.
This gain is attributed to robust domestic growth, contained fiscal slippage, and portfolio-related inflows, according to forex traders.
The dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading at 99.46, higher by 0.03%.
India's economy grew at a faster-than-expected 7.8% in the April-June quarter, showing resilience despite global economic uncertainty.
